Last week we packed up the car and headed down to Mexico Beach, Florida with our great friends, Mark, Angie and John. On the way down we always make a stop and indulge in some of the local flavor...Boiled Peanuts! Yes, I said BOILED! Angie, being a native of Alabama convinced us they were the best, so of course we all had to try them, every year they get a little better...I have to admit, I was a little leary eating boiled peanuts from a side road gas station that posted a hand written sign..."Boiled Peanuts":-) We also stop for delicious peaches!! We have been going to Mexico Beach since 2005. It's a beautiful, laid back little place with really, not much to do other than local stuff. There are no fast food restaurants and the nearest Wal-Mart is 23 miles away in Panaman City! If you want a true relaxing vacation, this is the place to be! You would think the boys would be bored but they always manage to find something to do; fishing on the pier, playing in the ocean, going to the local shops, shaved ice, ice cream cones, etc...Every year, it just keeps getting better! I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures and listening to the music as much as I did taking them and posting them to the blog!
